This is Rich, of Transition Humboldt. I am testing out the guest posting arrangements on our new blog. So far, so good. I guess the way it works is that only certain people have access to POST something. The public has access only to comment on a post. Makes sense to me. I set up a blog for my sisters and me to write stuff about our family. I gave them access to initiate - or create - new posts (ideas, remembrances, etc.) and anyone could then comment on the posts. But only the three of us could create a post. It all makes sense now.
The "trailer" for Gar Alperovitz film entices us to see a new future for our country - indeed, for our world. The Transition movement is right in line with this. He wrote "What Then Must We Do?" and I believe the film features the many examples of the seeds of change being planted throughout the country.
Here's a link to his website where you can watch this interesting 4 minute clip.
The Transition Salon meets monthly for to enjoy conversations about various topics of interest.
Anyone can comment on posts by clicking on "Comments." We are all newbies at blogging, so it will take us a while to sort things out. In the meantime, salon participants can create their own posts by emailing content to Richard: rgkreis at gmail dot com.
