In January, we started exploring the latest book by Canadian author Naomi Klein. We were well into our conversation when one of the guests at the B&B where we were meeting wandered downstairs and started listening in. The fellow looked like an interesting character, so we invited him to join in. Turns out he was retired career CIA and had a lot opinions and inside-the-beltway perspective. We eagerly peppered him with friendly, curious questions, and were so fascinated we stayed an extra fifteen minutes beyond our usual closing.
Among the opinions he shared was the notion that successful action to manage climate change was dependent on the current negotiations between POTUS and his Chinese and Indian counterparts. Hmmm.
